Katelyn Cox was selected by the Tigers with pick No. 60 in the 2022 AFLW Draft. The hard worker has explosive speed, a neat kick and displays a high level of football IQ. After previously being a top-up player with North Melbourne, Cox did not miss a game in her debut season, finishing 8th in the Richmond best and fairest. Cox played the entire campaign as a defender, before being switched forward for the Semi-Final against North Melbourne, where she was one of the Tigers’ best, booting a goal and playing a hand in others, while nullifying the impact of All Australian half back Emma Kearney.
