Richmond confirms that AFLW players Katelyn Cox and Shelby Knoll have not been offered playing contracts for the 2026 season.

Cox, 27, played 32 AFLW games for the Tigers across four seasons after being selected as a mature-aged draft pick from the VFLW.

The small defender played 10 games this year.

Knoll made her breakthrough debut in the final round of the 2025 campaign after spending three seasons on the list.

The 25-year-old who joined the Club from Castlemaine via the 2023 Supplementary Draft was restricted by injury during her time at Richmond, missing half her first season and all of 2024.

Richmond AFLW List and Recruiting Manager, Trent Mosbey, thanked both players for their hard work and application during their time at the Club.

“Both Katelyn and Shelby had injury adversity during their time with us but continued to give their all for our program,” he added.

“Katelyn played 32 games for us, including every game and both finals in Season 7, while Shelby thoroughly deserved her AFLW debut this year after putting in a mountain of work behind the scenes.

“We wish both players all the best for the future and are grateful for their contribution to Richmond.”

Richmond holds selections 1, 38, 40 and 56 at Monday’s AFLW National Draft.
