Richmond key forward Brad Miller booted four goals and goal-sneak Addam Maric collected 35 disposals as Coburg fell 24 points short of Box Hill in Round 19 of the VFL.
Miller also collected 16 disposals and took eight marks as the Tigers put in a much-improved performance from their heavy loss to the Northern Blues the previous week.
Despite a lopsided scoring shot count in the first half (21-8), Coburg trailed by 28 points at the main break, and by 29 points at three-quarter time, before winning the final quarter.
Miller was well supported by fellow Richmond-listed talls, Tom Derickx and Todd Elton, who each kicked two goals.
David Asbury collected 21 disposals in the back half, while Brett O’Hanlon finished with 20 possessions.
Coburg plays Frankston at home this Saturday, August 11, at 2pm.
