It was Tim Taranto's world on Sunday at the MCG, and the Tiger Army were just living in it.

And that's the truth, with the Richmond vice-captain winning the Round 21 AFL Goal of the Week, after his stellar boundary line snap.

Taranto also polled nine AFL Coaches' Association votes for his standout performance in the win over the Eagles.

Taranto racked up an impressive 32 disposals, 11 clearances and nine tackles, standing tall in the 11-point victory over the Eagles at home.

14 of those possessions were contested, while the 28-year-old also had nine scored involvements and gained 493 metres.

He also had one stand out goal, that got the MCG rocking in the second quarter on Sunday, when Taranto managed to snap through the big sticks.

When the scores were locked at 28 deep into the second term, it was Taranto who roved magnificently inside Richmond's forward 50, finding space along the boundary, clearing traffic and throwing the ball on the boot, as it sailed through for a goal.

It capped off what would go on to be an incredible day for the midfielder, as Richmond recorded its third win of 2026.

Jack Ross and Tom Lynch also shared in the AFL Coaches' Association votes, polling three each, while Sam Lalor's 13 disposals and three massive goals earned him one vote.

Ross had 27 disposals and a goal, while Lynch managed two majors to go with 20 touches.

Each week of the season, the two senior coaches vote on the best players in their respective match, giving 5-4-3-2-1. The maximum votes a player can get is 10 votes a week.

The overall league winner at the end of the season will be crowned the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year.
