The Richmond Football Club was proud to be part of the Melbourne Diwali Festival at Marvel Stadium on Saturday.

Held in Marvel Stadium Square, the festival featured dance, music, food and family-friendly activities celebrating the Festival of Lights.

The Richmond activation was a popular stop throughout the day, with hundreds of children and families learning more about the Tigers and having a go at some handballing. The event provided a great opportunity for the Club to connect with new and existing supporters and share the Richmond story with Melbourne's Indian community.   

Richmond mascots Sash and Stripes took to the stage alongside children entertaining the crowd.

Richmond CEO Shane Dunne and Festival Organiser Gautam Gupta also joined the stage, taking part in a fun handballing demonstration with several children.

"We're proud to continue building our relationship with the Richmond Football Club and strengthening the connection between the Tigers and Melbourne's Indian community," Gupta said.
