Richmond Football Club congratulates Director Joe Powell on his distinguished nine years of service on the Club’s Board.
Powell has resigned from the Board, creating a casual vacancy after initially stepping into the role of Director in February 2017.
Powell said it had been an enormous privilege to serve as a Director of a Club that had meant so much to him throughout his life.
"I have been fortunate to serve alongside outstanding fellow Directors, executives, coaches, players, staff, members and supporters," he said.
"All of whom have cared deeply about Richmond and what it represents, and I wish them all the very best for the future."
Richmond President John O'Rourke thanked Powell for his significant contribution to the Club.
"On behalf of the Board and everyone at Richmond, I would like to thank Joe for his outstanding service and commitment over the past decade," O'Rourke said.
"Joe has brought tremendous experience and a deep passion for Richmond to the Board through his tenure.
“His contribution has helped guide the Club through one of the most significant periods in our history, and he has always acted in the best interests of Richmond and our members.
“Joe’s experience and insights have been highly valued by fellow Directors and Club management alike, and we are incredibly grateful for everything he has given to the Club.”
