As announced earlier this week, Richmond’s traditional Round 1 clash against Carlton has been moved to Saturday, March 20 at 12.35pm due to the MCG being unavailable on the Thursday night as a result of the 150-year Australia v England Test match celebrations.
Richmond will then spend three weeks on the road, beginning with an Easter Saturday clash against Gold Coast before travelling to Geelong in Round 3 and heading to Gather Round in Round 4.
The Tigers return to the MCG in Round 5 for a Saturday twilight encounter with North Melbourne on April 17.

Anzac Day Eve falls on a Saturday night this year in Round 6, with Richmond members able to access the match as part of the Club’s commitment to provide additional MCG access in lieu of the Tasmania home game.
The Tasmania fixture will take place the following week, with Richmond hosting Port Adelaide in Hobart on a Sunday afternoon in Round 7, broadcast live on Channel 7. Richmond plays St Kilda away at Marvel Stadium in Round 8.
Dreamtime at the ‘G will be played under Friday night lights for a third consecutive year, with the marquee clash locked in for May 14.
The Tigers will return to the MCG the following week when they face Collingwood on a Saturday night at 7.35pm.
Richmond’s 10-year premiership anniversary match will be played on June 5 against Adelaide, mirroring the Saturday afternoon timeslot of the 2017 Grand Final that ended the Club’s 37-year premiership drought.
The Club’s 2017 premiership heroes will be celebrated throughout the week and at the MCG on match day as Richmond commemorates the landmark premiership.
Richmond will host GWS at Marvel Stadium in Round 13 before travelling to the Gabba to face the reigning premiers the following week.
The Tigers return to the MCG in Round 15 to host West Coast on a Saturday afternoon, with the Eagles joining Essendon, North Melbourne, Collingwood, St Kilda and Adelaide as Richmond’s double-up opponents for the season.
Richmond’s return clash with Essendon will be the inaugural Dreamtime at Maali match in Round 16, broadcast live on Channel 7 at 3.15pm EST.
The Tigers will remain in Perth following Dreamtime at Maali before taking on Fremantle at Optus Stadium in Round 17.
Back-to-back home matches against St Kilda and Sydney at the MCG follow before Richmond faces North Melbourne at Marvel Stadium and Adelaide at Adelaide Oval.
The Tigers will then finish the home-and-away season against Victorian opposition, including home clashes with Hawthorn and Collingwood at the MCG in Rounds 22 and 24, separated by a Round 23 meeting with the Western Bulldogs at Marvel Stadium.
Timeslots for all matches beyond Dreamtime at Maali will be confirmed by the AFL at a later date.
Richmond CEO Shane Dunne said members would once again have several marquee occasions to look forward to throughout the season.
“We are excited to have Dreamtime at the ‘G on a Friday night in May, as well as Anzac Day Eve as a replacement game for our members,” he said.
“Our home games throughout the season will attract strong crowds, while our Tasmania fixture and Dreamtime at Maali provide exciting opportunities for supporters to travel and get behind the team.
“We are pleased to remain in Perth following Dreamtime at Maali. Alongside spending time in the local community, it allows us to prepare for an away clash with Fremantle without the added travel.
“It will be our only trip to Perth this season and an important opportunity for our young group to spend time together away from home.”
Dunne said that the 10-year premiership celebration would be an exciting week for the entire Club.
“Everyone in the Tiger Army will get the chance to celebrate and reflect on the achievements of 2017,” he said.
“There will be an opportunity for fans to show their appreciation to that playing group at the MCG on June 5, and everything we do as a Club throughout the week will bring back some fond memories for our supporters, which is very exciting.
“It is always exciting to receive the fixture and for our fans to start making their plans to come to the footy. The best way to access all of these games and to support the Club is to purchase a Richmond membership.
“We cannot wait to get underway, starting with a huge crowd against the Blues at the MCG on March 20.”
