Richmond VFL coach Steve Morris provides a summary of how the Tigers’ players performed in last Saturday's loss to Hawthorn at the Swinburne Centre.

04:01

Thomson Dow (25 disposals, 12 contested possessions, four clearances)

"Had another really good game in and around the contest. He was one of our leading possession getters and had high numbers in contested possessions. He's in really good form."

Maurice Rioli (23 disposals, 13 contested possessions, seven tackles, six clearances)

"He led us for contested possessions, tackles and clearances. He played on ball for the majority of the day and provided us with plenty of pressure in and around the footy. It was great to see him show his strengths further up the field."

Hugo Ralphsmith (23 disposals, four rebound-50s, three tackles)

"He was very good on the day. Offensively, he provided us a lot of rebound and defensively, he was very sound. Loved the way he approached the game after coming in from AFL level."

Tyler Sonsie (23 disposals, six marks, five clearances, one goal)

"Had a reasonably good day as a part of our on-ball mix. He had five clearances, was able to hit the scoreboard, and he continues his good form."

Lachlan Street (21 disposals, five rebound-50s, three marks)

"Had a different role for us playing down back, and I thought he was influential down there as a leader in our back six. He still found the footy and used it well on the day."

Judson Clarke (19 disposals, eight marks, six inside-50s, one goal)

"Looked like he was going to make something happen every time he went near the footy. He played well both up forward and on a wing, and continued his good form."

Angus Hicks (19 disposals, six marks, six inside-50s)

"His good was very good. He probably didn't use the ball as well as we are used to him using it. But, he was pretty stiff not to hit the scoreboard as he had a shot on goal marked on the line."

13:59

Mutaz El Nour (17 disposals, eight rebound-50s, four marks)

"He was very good again, I'm really liking the way he's going about it. He gets the job done defensively first, he had 17 possessions at 100 per cent, and is winning the ball back very well for us."

Tom Brindley (17 disposals, seven marks, one goal)

"The last few weeks have presented an opportunity to develop his game playing him as a key back. He's had influence when he's been in the ruck for us as well, but he went forward late and was able to hit the scoreboard well."

Steely Green (16 disposals, six round  marks, four inside-50s, one goal)

"His game was a good one. He got himself into some really good spots and is improving each and every week as a player. He uses the ball beautifully and has really leant into our program."

Tom Brown (15 disposals, three tackles, three rebound-50s)

"Probably didn't have quite the game that he's had over the past month. He's been in some ripping form and was once again solid on the weekend. We'd like the ball in his hands a little bit more, as we saw his decision-making is exceptional."

James Trezise (15 disposals, three marks, three rebound-50s)

"Another very good game from him. He was solid in the contest and used the ball well. We're encouraging him to be more attacking and take the game on. But he is tracking really well and we're really pleased with his progress."

Noah Cumberland (14 disposals, five marks, six goals)

"Almost the complete game from Noah. He used the ball really well, hit the scoreboard heavily, and put some really good pressure on as well. He was pretty crook at half-time and still hit the scoreboard in the second half, so very pleased with the way Noah went about it."

01:46

Brad Melville (12 disposals, five rebound-50s, four marks)

"Brad played mainly on the wing for the day and went down back later in the game to help us provide some rebound. He's a flexible player that's in good form and we're looking forward to seeing what he can provide for us in the later stages of the season."

Bigoa Nyuon (11 disposals, six marks, one goal)

"Had another reasonable game. He was able to hit the scoreboard and gave another off that he probably should have kicked himself. I'm looking forward to seeing him really rip a game apart in the next couple of weeks because it's something he know can do."

00:29

Samson Ryan (10 disposals, 33 hit-outs, five marks)

"It was a fantastic opportunity for Samson to come up against an experience ruckman who Hawthorn have high hopes for. He battled away really well, attacked the footy, and was very close to ripping the game apart himself."

Cam Olden (10 disposals, two inside-50s, one mark)

"Cam was crook all week. We generally know what we're going to get from Cam, he's had a super year, but he was probably just short of his best on the weekend."

Austin Johnson (nine disposals, three marks, three tackles)

"He's been playing down back the last few weeks and, once again, he was pretty solid on the weekend. He does everything that's asked of him, he uses the ball well, and whether it's on a wing or down half-back, he's a big part of our team."

Mykelti Lefau (eight disposals, three clearances, three tackles)

"He's such an interesting player. We can use him in the ruck or up forward. Late in the game after not having a huge impact in the first three quarters, we threw him on ball and he just dominated the last quarter. I was really pleased with his efforts to help us get back into the game."

Mohammed Yassine (eight disposals, four inside-50s, two marks)

"Had a fantastic game in only his fourth game for the Club. His pressure was elite, he's got great speed and used that on offence, and he's improved at a rapid rate this season. I'm really proud of the work that he's put in."

Will Bravo (seven disposals, four tackles, two clearances)

"Will was solid on the day. He played midfield and we probably didn't get quite what we were after from him in and around the footy. He's a player that's really capable of standing out in our midfield and he just didn't have a huge influence on the first half, but his pressure and attack on the footy can never be questioned."

Kaelan Bradtke (six disposals, five marks, one goal)

"He's continued to improve in recent weeks. It probably wasn't his best game on the weekend, but he showed some really positive signs once again and hopefully he can continue progressing in the coming weeks."

Seth Campbell (five disposals, three marks, one clearance)

"It's just fantastic to have Seth back. He's such an exciting player for our footy Club and we're very lucky to have him. I was just pleased to see him get through the first half unscathed, as there are big things in store for him."
