Richmond has added three players to its extended squad for Sunday's big game against Melbourne at the MCG.

The Tigers have withdrawn Jayden Short from the 26-man squad named on Thursday night, with Hugo Ralphsmith named in his place.

Ralphsmith has played 13 games so far this season and last featured for the Tigers as the substitute in the Round 18 win over West Coast.

The 21-year-old collected 23 disposals, four rebound-50s and laid three tackles in Richmond VFL's three-point loss to Box Hill last Saturday.

Also named in the squad are exciting forward Noah Cumberland, who dominated in the VFL last weekend with a six-goal haul, and young tall Samson Ryan, who was also important with 33 hit-outs and five marks.

Richmond will confirm its final 22 for the clash with the Demons on Friday at 5.00pm AEST.

The Club will then name its substitute 60 minutes prior to the first bounce on Sunday. 

The game will be broadcast live on Channel 7, FOX FOOTY and Kayo Sports. 

The Round 20 match will be an opportunity to celebrate the Tiger Army reaching an incredible 100,000 members for the sixth year in a row.
