Richmond will be out to defend their Victorian Wheelchair Football League (VWFL) premiership when they take on Hawthorn in the 2023 Grand Final at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre on Sunday, September 17 from 1pm.

As a curtain-raiser to the VWFL decider, a Richmond side will also be in action against St Kilda in the Community Wheelchair Football League Grand Final.

In a big day of finals football last weekend at MSAC, Hawthorn qualified for their first ever Robert Rose Foundation VWFL Grand Final with a big qualifying final victory over Collingwood.

After defeating Essendon in the elimination final, Richmond overcame the Magpies by just four points in a thrilling preliminary final to progress to the big one and keep their dream of being the first VWFL back-to-back premiers alive.

Both the VWFL and CWFL Grand Finals will be live streamed free on the VWFL Facebook page.
