Richmond has made four changes to its line-up for the Tigers' Easter Sunday clash with Sydney at the MCG.

Nathan Broad and Tylar Young, who missed Round 2 due to calf soreness and concussion protocols respectively, return to the side in a big boost for the Tigers' defence.

They'll be joined by lively forward Maurice Rioli, who was a late out last Sunday against Port Adelaide with back soreness.

Rounding out the inclusions is young midfielder/forward Tyler Sonsie, who has been recalled for his first AFL match of the season to add to his 10 career games.

The 21-year-old was an important contributor in last Saturday's Round 1 VFL win over reigning premier Gold Coast, collecting 30 disposals, seven marks, six inside-50s and one goal.

"(He) found a lot of the ball," VFL coach Steve Morris said.

"It's great to see him back into footy and finding the ball with ease straight away."

Star midfielder Dustin Martin has been ruled out of of the match with calf soreness, as has Dylan Grimes, due to a wrist complaint.

Also coming out of the Round 2 side is last week's activated substitute Judson Clarke, who has been omitted, and James Trezise, who suffered an ankle injury in the clash.

Richmond's three emergencies for the Swans clash are Hugo Ralphsmith, Kane McAuliffe and Sam Naismith.

Sunday's game will be broadcast live on FOX FOOTY and Kayo Sports.
