With Richmond preparing for its Round 22 clash with St Kilda this Saturday, we look back on some famous moments against the Saints.
First on our list is the iconic Round 23 match in 2017, where Club legend Dustin Martin had the Tiger Army on their feet after kicking a miraculous goal.
In the final home-and-away match of the premiership winning 2017 season, the Tigers defeated the Saints in an epic battle at the MCG.
Richmond stormed home late in the game, kicking seven goals in the last quarter to run over the Saints by 41 points.
Jacob Townsend had a day out, booting five goals, alongside Jack Riewoldt and Dan Butler, who both had three of their own.
However, it was Martin who stole the show when he performed one of his trademark don't argues, running on to kick an “inside-out-bender” through for a goal.
Martin finished with 36 disposals, the most on the ground, and added two goals to cap off his best on-ground performance.
The Tiger Army will remember Richmond’s epic 2020 semi-final against the Saints at People First Stadium on the Gold Coast, where the Tigers claimed a 31-point win.
With a spot in the Preliminary Final up for grabs, the reigning premiers pounced early, kicking five goals in the first quarter.
Shai Bolton led the side's attack, kicking three goals, whilst Tom Lynch and Shane Edwards each had two to their name.
The reigning premiers would go on to win the Grand Final, making it back-to-back flags for the Club and their third premiership in four years.
This list wouldn’t be complete without the 300th game of Tiger legend, Trent Cotchin, in 2023.
Cotchin’s legendary career was honoured when the side claimed a 20-point win in his milestone match in front of the Tiger Army at the MCG.
Wearing his famous number nine jumper, Cotchin led his side up the race and onto the field where he had a day out, recording 19 disposals, eight contested possessions, three clearances and two goals all by halftime.
One of those goals came just before quarter time, seeing Cotchin mark the ball inside 50, where he lined up and slotted the major, sending the Tiger Army into a frenzy.
The three-time premiership captain finished the match with 29 disposals and was a significant contributor to the side's win, in what was a wet game of footy.
Cotchin ended his career with 306 games, a Brownlow Medal (2012), three Jack Dyer medals (2011, 2012, 2014), three premierships (2017, 2019, 2020) and an All-Australian selection (2012).
