Richmond defender Beth Lynch has been nominated for the AFLW Round 2 Mark of the Week, after her spectacular grab against the Bulldogs on Sunday.

Lynch leapt over Western Bulldogs veteran Ellie Blackburn in the fourth term of the IKON Park clash, taking the mark before the Bulldogs could push forward.

Gallantly running back with the fight of the ball, Lynch kept her eyes steady on the mark and never took a backwards step, in an impressive act of courage.

It was the perfect mark of her return from her shoulder injury.

She is up against Essendon's Amy Gaylor and West Coast's Ella Roberts for this week's Mark of the Week, with the winner going into the running for AFLW Mark of the Year, which will be announced at season's end.
