Richmond draftee Sierra Grieves will make her debut on Friday night against Essendon in Dreamtime in Darwin.
The inside midfielder, who was selected by Richmond with pick 11 in the 2024 AFLW Draft, has earned her teammates' respect in the pre-season, leading to her Round 3 call up.
Hailing from the Western Jets, the 19-year-old has impressed early with her running ability and hunt around the ball, coming into the side with the goal of having an instant impact.
The youngster had an outstanding year as one of the premier midfielders in last year's draft pool, winning multiple individual awards for her high-level performances, including the U18 Championships' Best & Fairest Award, All Australian honours, and was named captain of the side.
During her short time at the Swinburne Centre, Grieves has managed to also add to her glowing resume, improving on her small forward craft, while also learning from an elite midfield group.
Grieves will have the ability to make her mark against a tough opponent in Essendon, praised for her high production in front of goal, her ability to support her teammates and limited weaknesses with ball in hand.
She will become the first AFLW debutant for the Tigers this season, and the fourth Club debutant, following Paige Scott, Montana Beruldsen and Lulu Beatty, who all played their first games for Richmond in the season opener, after arriving from other teams.
Richmond takes on Essendon at TIO Stadium in Dreamtime in Darwin on Friday night. The full team will be announced on richmondfc.com.au at 6.20pm on Thursday night.
