Richmond will take on Coburg with a fresh face in tow, with key defender Zaydyn Lockwood poised to make his debut.

Standing at 198cm tall, Lockwood offers versatility, using his elite overhead marking and leaping ability to play across multiple positions.

Having represented the Bendigo Pioneers in the Coates Talent League for the past two seasons, the 20-year-old looks forward to taking the next step and competing at the VFL level, pulling on the boots against Coburg on Saturday.

Vice-captain Mutaz El Nour takes his spot in the backline, alongside Lockwood, Tom McKenzie, Nick Collier, Josh Gibcus and Kaleb Smith.

Oliver Hayes-Brown takes his spot in the ruck, with followers Austin Johnson and Kane McAuliffe. Liam George, skipper Lachlan Street and Patrick Retschko make up the centreline.

The forward line will again be chocked full of AFL talent, including Zane Peucker, Tom Burton, Noah Roberts-Thomson and Liam Fawcett. They'll be joined by Sam Toner and Ned Renfree.

Samson Ryan will also pull on the boots for the first time this season at any level, after overcoming his injury setbacks, starting on the interchange.

Ryan will be alongside Tom Ferguson, Leo Connolly, Harry Scott and Olli Hotton on the interchange.

The emergencies are Mohammed Yassine, Sam Phillips, Reuben Hanson and Aaron Sharkie.

The first bounce at Holm Park is set for 11:05am (AEDT) this Saturday, with the game live streamed on the AFL website.
