Richmond has named its team ahead of the Saturday afternoon VFL clash with Williamstown at DSV Stadium.

UPDATE, 7pm: Kane Loftus will make his VFL debut tomorrow, replacing Sean Lai.

Lai was originally named in the team, replacing Austin Johnson (injured).

Loftus, a speedy midfielder, joined the Tigers this off-season, after a brilliant season for University Blacks in 2025, where he made the VAFA Premier Division Team of the Year in the wing position. He has plenty of pace and uses his height to push forward and take big marks. Loftus also won the Uni Black’s best and fairest and was on Essendon’s VFL list in 2024.

The backline remains the same from last week's clash, with Tom McKenzie, Zaydyn Lockwood, Mutaz El Nour, Leo Connolly, Joel Garner and Nick Collier completing the back six.

Leader Liam George makes up the centreline, alongside skipper Lachlan Street and Loftus. Samson Ryan takes his spot in the ruck, with Olli Hotton and Sam Philp named as the followers.

Zane Greenham, Mohammed Yassine, Noah Roberts-Thomson, Sam Toner, Liam Fawcett and Dan Lowther make up the forward line.

On the interchange is Aaron Sharkie, Ry Cantwell, Tom Ferguson, Harry Scott and Ned Renfree.

The emergencies are Sam Phillips and Kai Stewart.

The Round 7 clash is set for 3.05pm (AEST) this Saturday, with the game live streamed on the AFL website.
