Richmond has made a late change to its team that will face Adelaide in Round 9, with Luke Trainor replacing Sam Grlj (managed).

It will be Trainor's fourth AFL game this season, and his first since Gather Round. He performed strongly in his last VFL appearance on Anzac Day, recording 28 disposals, 11 marks and nine intercepts.

Grlj has played every game so far in his debut campaign, looking right at home at senior level. He was named the Round 7 Rising Star after a starring effort against Melbourne and is averaging 16.1 disposals and 9.1 kicks per game.
