Miller produced a first-rate, all-round defensive display for the Tigers in the Round 10 match against Euro-Yroke at Marvel Stadium.

With the Saints having 63 inside-50 entries compared to Richmond’s 37, Miller stood up in superb style to restrict the damage on the scoreboard for the Tigers.

He finished the match with an AFL career-high 22 disposals, an AFL career-high 20 effective disposals, game-high and AFL career-high 15 marks, five rebound-50s, three score involvements, five intercepts, four tackles, equal game-high six one-percenters and 424 metres gained.

Miller has been a slow burn in his AFL career at Tigerland. He spent almost four full seasons playing at VFL level, not making his senior debut with Richmond until the final round of the 2021 season.

Over the course of the past couple of seasons, however, Miller has flourished.

In 2024, he was ninth in the Jack Dyer Medal and last year he was fourth.

At 26 years of age, with 79 senior games for Richmond now under his belt, Miller is in the prime of his AFL career, and he’s playing a vital role in the Tigers’ line-up.
