Patrick Retschko and Jayden Short have both polled six votes each in the Round 11 AFL Coaches' Association votes, after standout performances against Essendon.

In the 18-point win, which was also Short's 200th AFL match, the 30-year-old collected 30 disposals, seven tackles and eight clearances.

Short also had five score involvements and five intercept possessions, while kicking a goal in his milestone match.

Meantime, Retschko also collected six votes, after his 27 disposals, eight marks and three tackles in the win. He also had nine score involvements, in just his sixth game of senior football, and has been named the Round 11 AFL Rising Star.

Tim Taranto, who polled four votes in the win, collected an impressive 30 disposals, eight clearances and laid seven tackles.

Jack Ross also polled two votes, after another strong outing for the 25-year-old leader.

He had 24 disposals, kicked a goal, had 10 score involvements and laid five tackles in the victory, continuing to prove why he is fast becoming a crucial Richmond midfield asset this season.

Each week of the season, the two senior coaches vote on the best players in their respective match, giving 5-4-3-2-1. The maximum votes a player can get is 10 votes a week.

The overall league winner at the end of the season will be crowned the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year.
