Richmond coach Adem Yze says the Tigers will be “really honest” in their review of the 114-point loss to Sydney.

Yze admits Richmond was “taught a footy lesson” at the SCG last Saturday, but did take some positives in how the young Tigers can use these experiences to learn how to play the right way against the competition’s best teams.

“You’ve just got to be really honest. We’ll learn from it, whether you win last week and learn or loss and learn, that’s our process that we will go through,” Yze said.

“I do like the fact that our boys want to keep attacking. We could play slower and defend with the ball and make it a boring game of footy but we want to play the right way.

“We want to attack when there’s opportunities to attack…whether that opens us up the other way because of execution, I’ll cop that.

“We need them to learn to play the right way against the best teams.”

Yze added Richmond has a responsibility post-bye to hit the ground running and come back with energy, as it hosts the two-time reigning premier Brisbane Lions in Tasmania.
