Richmond's newest Irish recruit, Ana Mulholland, had never picked up a Sherrin until just a few months ago, before her big move down under changed everything.
Now, a month into her two-year deal at the Swinburne Centre, the Gaelic footballer is falling in love and learning Aussie Rules more and more by the day.
With a month at Tigerland and in Melbourne officially under her belt, the 21-year-old Antrim midfielder in the GAA has swapped the ball, the colours and the skills.
And she's doing it with a smile on her face.
"The girls and coaching staff have been amazing, really helping me to settle in. It's going really well," Mulholland said.
"I'm settling in here really well, the Club has been amazing. I've been here about a month now, and this week I'm finally feeling a bit more settled. I'm really loving it."
She's not the first and certainly won't be the last Irish recruit to make the pilgrimage to Australia.
Just over a year ago, the Club welcomed fellow Irish recruit Aoibhin Cleary to Richmond, making a similar jump to Mulholland.
Cleary has played two AFLW matches for the Tigers, with an average of 12 disposals in season 2025. Now, she's helping Mulholland integrate in the same way.
"Aoibhin has been amazing. It has been so reassuring having her here. Just to know that she's been through the move and everything that I'm feeling, she's also felt," Mulholland said.
"Learning the skills and everything about the game from our [Irish] perspective, coming from our sport at home, it's been really great having her here."
As for her skills, the youngster has taken to the game with confidence, leaning on the plethora of new coaches to help her find her kicking feet with the oval ball.
"It's been a big change, but I'm really enjoying learning," she said.
"We have the best coaches here. They've been great helping me one-on-one with the skills.
"The girls at the Club have been taking me out one-on-one. Whatever I need, they're so happy to help."
As for what's next, it's clear to see Mulholland has slotted in perfectly at Richmond, meaning it'll be no time until she's sinking her teeth into real match simulation, and eventually, senior games.
It's something she's been looking forward to sharing with the Tiger Army and her family for a while.
"I'm excited for home games. I can't wait to play...just to see all the crowd and the fans will be amazing," Mulholland said.
"I have some family over here as well. Having them come to the games will be class."
