Dana East

Richmond recruit Dana East will notch up her 50th AFLW career game against Collingwood in Round 1 this Saturday, following an impressive pre-season with the Tigers.

The Tigers executed a trade with Fremantle for East in the final moments of the 2025 trade period, with the midfielder joining Richmond with 49 AFLW games to her name.

Growing up in Western Australia, the 23-year-old has already played 49 AFLW games for the Dockers, including eight last year, where she averaged 14 disposals, five tackles and two clearances.

Earlier in the pre-season, the 24-year-old lauded Richmond, explaining how she has already made the Club and the state her home.

"The Club and team have been phenomenal. It's home already, and I've come into a new family," East said.

"I love living in Melbourne, and the weather has actually been turning it on.

"I feel like the coaches who have come in have implemented a really strong game plan that we've got around."

East was a former West Australian junior basketball captain before switching to football in her draft year and parachuting up draft boards to be selected at 31 overall (fourth in WA).

The tough midfielder has continually impressed across her five seasons at AFLW level with consistently strong tackling and clearance numbers.
