Round 1 is looming large and the energy is quickly building at the Swinburne Centre.

Just ask defender Libby Graham how primed the group is for their season opener against Collingwood this Saturday at IKON Park, and you'll feel the buzz immediately.

With a new coaching group in tow, alongside a refreshed game style and new players, it's hard to contain the excitement. 

“We’ve got the opportunity to implement our new game plan and game style, which has been exciting," Graham said.

"We’re looking forward to seeing how that will stick up against other teams. I think we’ve got a really clear idea of the way we want to play and we know what that looks like.

"We are ready to go."

As for the finer details, Graham, who came third in last year's Richmond Best and Fairest, knows the group must find a new level to reach in 2026.

“The team has gelled really well together. We’ve got some real excitement, speed and intensity amongst the group," she said.

"I just love what the group are bringing at the moment.”

If Round 1 wasn't already exciting enough, Richmond will unveil two debutants, Olivia Wolmarans and Baia Pugh, in front of the Tiger Army.

“Liv Wolmarans is the one to watch. She’s got strong assets. You’ll see her flying for balls in the air any chance she gets," Graham said.

"She’s an exciting prospect for our Club, for now and also the future."

Richmond hosts Collingwood at IKON Park this Saturday from 5.05PM (AEST).
