Adem Yze says Richmond is well aware of the final's implications for St Kilda in Saturday's MCG clash, with the coach building up the game in what promises to be an emotional day for the Tiger Army.

Three-time premiership heroes Nathan Broad and Dion Prestia will play their final games in the yellow and black, while dual premiership forward Tom Lynch will play his 250th game.

The celebration of Club legends, along with the opportunity to shape the finals, is something driving the Tigers.

"We know what St Kilda are playing for...we're going to build this up," Yze said.

"It's a bit unique, we get to send off two stalwarts of our footy club, superstars of our footy club, and do it on the day that we are celebrating one of our very best as well [in Lynch].

"Three great Richmond men and we get an opportunity to do them proud with the way we go about it on Saturday afternoon.

"We want to play the right way, keep growing our young lads, give them opportunity but at the same time, be really competitive, put on a performance, this is our last home game at the 'G in front of our Tiger Army, and we want to do them proud."

The Tigers felt one got away when they faded in key moments in last week's nine-point away loss to Adelaide.

"We'll learn from it, and we feel like we gave ourselves a chance to win," Yze said. 

"We didn't get the result. Now we've got to go and rectify that this weekend."
