Richmond has secured its second Telstra AFLW Rising Star nomination for 2026, with No.1 draft pick Olivia Wolmarans winning the honour in Round 6.

In the seven-point victory over GWS in Canberra, Wolmarans took her game to new heights, booting a massive and career-best three goals, while also collecting 15 disposals and taking nine marks.

The key forward also had eight score involvements in the win, as well as eight contested possessions.

It was her best effort since her debut in front of the big sticks, as she continues to prove why she was so highly sought-after in last year’s AFLW Draft.

Her incredible overhead and contested marking ability was on full display against the Giants, taking her season average to 5.5 a game.

Coach Jarrad Donders heaped praise on Wolmarans, also highlighting the support she's had from leaders around her.

"It's been awesome to work with Liv...someone that's really talented," Donders said post match.

"The support she's got with our coaching staff, Fev [Brendan Fevola] as her line coach and the senior leaders she's got around her [is amazing].

"The aerial impact, the contest she's bringing and the opportunity to hit the scoreboard is just really exciting for our Club and also for the competition and the growth of where the women's game is going."

The teen has played in all six games since her Round 1 debut, averaging 1.7 goals, 10.5 disposals and 1.3 tackles.

The athletic 181cm goal kicker booted 38 goals from 29 matches at senior WAFLW level across the past three seasons and starred for Western Australia at the 2025 U18 National Championships.

She becomes the second Tiger this year to earn a Rising Star nomination, following Sierra Grieves in Round 1.
