Richmond has signed 201cm ruckman Kieren Briggs to its AFL list on a four-year deal through to the end of the 2030 season.
The 26-year-old joins the Club as an unrestricted free agent following eight seasons and 88 games with GWS.
A graduate of the Giants Academy, the Pennant Hills product was selected with pick No. 34 in the 2018 National Draft.
Briggs has been a strong contributor at AFL level across recent seasons, initially breaking into the Giants' line-up as a key part of their charge to a one-point preliminary final loss in 2023.
He then ranked fifth in the competition for hit-outs during a career-best 2024 season. Briggs averaged 12 disposals, 24 hit-outs and 3.4 tackles per game in 2026.
Richmond Executive General Manager, Football Talent, Blair Hartley said the Club was delighted to bring Briggs to the Swinburne Centre.
“Kieren is an experienced AFL ruckman entering the prime of his career,” he said.
“He enjoys the contested side of the game and brings a physical presence that allows him to compete against the best rucks in the competition.
“Kieren will add a lot to our ruck stocks, midfield and the way we use our key position players in general, while also strengthening our playing group with his professionalism and the way he goes about his football.
“He is highly driven to get the best out of himself and to help our Club continue to move forward.
“We are looking forward to the role he will play in the yellow and black.”
