Richmond is delighted to welcome hard-running Fremantle wingman Nathan O’Driscoll to the Swinburne Centre on a three-year contract through to the end of 2029.
O’Driscoll joins following a trade with Fremantle today that saw the Club part ways with a fourth-round selection currently No. 61 overall at this year’s Telstra AFL National Draft.
The 24-year-old has played 55 AFL games after being selected with pick No. 27 overall at the 2020 National Draft.
O’Driscoll played a career-high 17 games in 2026, including the Qualifying Final, averaging 17 disposals and 2.7 inside 50s per game.
He had a career-high 27 disposals against St Kilda in Round 12.
The left-footer has stood out with his running power across six years at Fremantle. At 188cm, he can also compete in the air and be used at both ends of the ground or on the wing.
O’Driscoll has also played as an inside midfielder across his career at the Dockers and with Peel Thunder.
Richmond Executive General Manager, Football Talent Blair Hartley said that O’Driscoll was a strong running wingman that was keen for a fresh start.
“Nathan has had a good taste of AFL football across his six years at Fremantle and is hungry to take his game to the next level. He played 17 games this season and plays the game the right way,” he said.
“At 24, he will complement what we have on the list and bring a skill set that suits the way we want to play with his running power and ability to cover the ground at a high speed.
“He is a quality young man, and we are excited to see him playing on the MCG in the yellow and black next year.”
