Alana Barba and Caitlin Thorne will make their Richmond AFLW debuts in Saturday night's Pride Round clash against Adelaide at IKON Park.
In a great story of dedication and resilience, Barba and Thorne have been train-on players with the Tigers throughout the year, with no guarantees of playing. Both players continued to refine their skills in the VFLW during the campaign and now get the reward of being back on an AFLW field.
Barba is a 25-year-old inside mid/forward from North Melbourne VFLW and has previously played 12 AFLW games for Gold Coast and Essendon. Thorne, 23, has 11 games of AFLW experience with Geelong. The forward played for Box Hill in the VFLW this year.
