He attracted the attention of the Tiger talent scouts during an impressive season at VFL level with Frankston in 2013, which also saw him kick four goals for a combined VFL team in a state match against the WAFL.

The 24-year-old is renowned for his ability to win one-on-one contests, both in the air and at ground level, as well as his clever goal sense.

He kicked more than 100 goals in a season while playing for country club the Deniliquin Rams as a 20-year-old in 2010.

Lloyd is one of three changes to the Richmond side that lost last Saturday’s Round 3 match against the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium by two points.

Returning to the line-up is ruckman Shaun Hampson, who was sidelined for a week with a knee injury, while young midfielder Matt Arnot will play his first AFL game since Round 18, 2013, following some solid performances with Richmond’s VFL team.

They replace Ricky Petterd, who has a groin injury, and Jake King and Orren Stephenson, who have both been omitted.

The three emergencies for the Tigers’ Round 4 team are Stephenson, Matt McDonough and Nathan Foley.
