Maric has been in career-best form in his debut season at Richmond after joining the Club from the Adelaide Crows during last year’s trade period.
The 200cm, 26-year-old is ranked No. 3 in the competition for total hit-outs and is averaging 16 disposals per match, which is a more than handy return for a ruckman.

He has been a key factor in the Tigers taking another significant step forward in their development this season, and he’s relished the return to his native Victoria after spending six years in South Australia with the Crows.
“It’s been a fantastic move and quite a refreshing one, and great to be back in my home town,” Maric said on Channel Nine’s “Future Stars” program.
“I always believed in my ability although people would always say that I was a bit short to be a ruckman and maybe a bit slow.
“I just continued to work hard and believe in my own ability. I also got some really good coaching along the way from Matthew Clarke and now Brendon Lade and Justin Leppitsch. So, it’s worked out really well.”
Maric has developed a strong rapport with star Tiger midfielder Trent Cotchin and the rest of the team’s on-ball brigade.
“He’s (Cotchin) bloody fantastic to watch and he’s going to be a great leader for the future I think,” Maric said.
“It’s about building relationships between me and Trent and also the other midfielders.
“I feel like I’ve built dome strong relationships with Brett Deledio and Shane Tuck as well.”
