An inspirational third-quarter performance from Richmond-listed, key-position player, Jayden Post, sparked a major Coburg comeback during last Saturday’s Round 8 VFL match against North Ballarat at Eureka Stadium.

Post produced a dominant display up forward in the third term, booting five goals, which enabled Coburg to turn a 30-point half-time deficit into a 10-point lead at the final change.

In the last quarter, however, the home side reasserted its authority and ran away to a 27-point victory - 21.13 (139) to 17.10 (112).

Best of the Richmond-listed players for Coburg were Post, who finished with six goals, Dan Connors, who kicked four goals, Andrew Browne and Matthew White.

Coburg copped a couple of major setbacks during the match, with Richmond ruckman Angus Graham receiving a red card (and subsequently sent off) in the second quarter after being reported for kicking, and Luke McGuane leaving the field in the first quarter with a damaged knee medial ligament.
