The selection of both Trent Cotchin and Brett Deledio in the 2012 All-Australian team gives Richmond its most AA representatives in a year since 2001.

Back then, it was key defender Darren Gaspar and forward-ruckman Brad Ottens, who received All-Australian honors as Tiger players.

The year before that (2000), Gaspar and fellow backman Andrew Kellaway had been named in the All-Australian line-up.

And, in 1999, it was star forward Matthew Richardson and gun midfielder Wayne Campbell, who received the nod from the All-Australian selectors.

Two representatives are the most Richmond has had in an All-Australian team since the concept was changed slightly, with the introduction of the national competition in the early 1990s.
