Banks enjoyed a breakout 2025, playing 22 AFL games primarily as a rebounding defender.
The Tasmanian finished seventh in the Jack Dyer Medal, was third at the club for total rebound 50s (86) and led the Tigers for metres gained (9079).
Banks was given an opportunity in Jayden Short’s customary role and never looked back.
He tallied his first Brownlow votes (two) against West Coast in Round 9 when he had 28 disposals and produced a memorable match-saving tackle. He is contracted until 2027.
