It started in round one with a knee issue which sidelined him for six weeks and continued later in the season when missing four matches with an ankle problem.
When fit, he played some superb football across half-back, intercepting at will and repelling opposition attacks.
His leadership remains one of the hallmarks of his game.
Vlastuin is tied to the Tigers until 2026 after committing long-term to the club.
