Irish-woman Aoibhin Cleary was made to wait for her AFLW debut in 2025, given she missed most of her introductory pre-season to the sport due to a Grand Final campaign with Meath in Ireland’s Gaelic National Football League.
Cleary showed her talent in the final two matches of the AFLW season, gathering 12 disposals in each across half back and averaging over 200 metres gained.
Now settled in Australia and with a pre-season under her belt, Cleary promises to be a much-improved player in 2026.
