Ben Rutten

Head of Coaching Performance and Development

Rutten will enter his third year of his second stint at Richmond in 2026, having initially joined the Tigers in 2015 before playing a key role in the Club’s 2017 premiership as defensive line coach. The 2005 All-Australian defender with the Adelaide Crows then spent four years at Essendon, serving as senior coach in 2021-22. He returned to Punt Rd ahead of the 2023 season and has been one of Adem Yze’s key lieutenants, a role that will increase with Rutten’s new title as Head of Coaching Performance and Development.
