What the Richmond recruiters say about Sonsie...

Tyler is an exciting midfield/forward prospect from the Eastern Ranges. He was touted as a high-end pick after an eye-catching U16 Championships in 2019, where he averaged 23 disposals and two goals a game – including a scintillating four goals against Western Australia.

Unfortunately, injury robbed Tyler of the ability to showcase his extraordinary talent for much of the second half of the year. However, he did average 23 disposals and five clearances across five NAB league games.

Tyler also ran out once for Box Hill in the VFL this year and one could be forgiven for thinking he had been playing VFL all season, given Tyler finished his debut with 24 disposals and two goals.

At his best, there are few who match Tyler for skill or smarts.

His ability to read the play and use the ball with genuine class on both sides of the body make him an equally damaging player through the midfield and up forward.

Capable of some definite "wow" moments, he is sure to produce plenty for Richmond fans next season and beyond.
