Richmond Football Club is hosting a Wheelchair Football Come & Try Day for people of all abilities at Diamond Creek Community Centre this Saturday, February 26 at 1pm.

If you are from any part of Melbourne and would like to try Wheelchair AFL do not miss this opportunity.

Rules of Wheelchair AFL

  • The game is played on an indoor basketball court divided into thirds
  • A handball is the equivalent to a kick 
  • An underarm throw is the equivalent to a handball 
  • There are five players on court: two forwards, two defenders and a centre
  • Men and women can compete on one team
  • Up to two players without a physical disability are allowed on the squad
  • Only one player without a disability is allowed on the court

*Please note: Participants are required to be fully vaccinated. You must show acceptable evidence that you’re fully vaccinated (or have a medical exemption) by presenting your Covid-19 digital certificate on entry. If you don’t have a smart phone, you can show a printed copy of your immunisation history statement.
