Young Richmond midfielder Thomson Dow produced the best performance of his fledgling AFL career in last Sunday’s Round 3 loss to St Kilda at Marvel Stadium.

Dow showcased the skill set that convinced the Club to take him with its first pick (No. 21 overall) in the 2019 AFL national draft.

The 20-year-old, in just his ninth senior appearance for the Tigers, had a career-high 23 disposals, a team-high 12 contested possessions, team-high and career-high seven clearances, including a game-high five centre clearances, five intercepts and equal team-high five tackles.

It was a display that should provide Dow’s confidence levels with a decent boost, knowing he can have such an impact at the game’s highest level.
