Richmond VFL has locked in its line-up for Friday afternoon's curtain-raiser against Sydney at Lakeside Oval. 

The Tigers will unveil two debutants, Lachlan Carrigan and Tom Brindley, for the clash with the Swans. 

Carrigan, 21, is a highly-talented outside midfielder with excellent speed and endurance.

After a rough trot with injuries in recent years, he's been able to build his continuity in 2022.

Twenty-three-year-old midfielder/forward Brindley, who stands at 195cm, is an exciting prospect with impressive athleticism for his height and massive upside in an elite program.

He can play a variety of positions due to his ability to run, jump and provide a target down the line.

Also coming into the side are livewire forward Jake Aarts, who was activated as Richmond's medical substitute in last Saturday night's AFL win over Essendon, and key defender Tyler Young. 

The inclusions replace Nick Guiney, Sam Tucker, Austin Johnson and Jackson Sexton.

Johnson has been named as an emergency for the match alongside Angus Hicks. 

The Tigers, who are currently placed eighth on the ladder, will be looking to stay on the winners' list following their Dreamtime win over Essendon last weekend, while the Swans, who sit in 11th, will also be entering the clash off a Round 9 win over Coburg.

Friday afternoon's game kicks off at 2.05pm, ahead of Richmond and Sydney's Friday night AFL clash at the SCG from 7.50pm.
