Richmond defender Steven Morris will miss this Saturday’s match against the Brisbane Lions after accepting a one-week ban from the AFL’s Match Review Panel.

Morris was charged for two separate incidents during Saturday’s Round 15 match against St Kilda at Etihad Stadium, each of which amounted to 93.75 demerit points with an early guilty plea.

Under AFL tribunal guidelines, points are added together for matches where more than one charge is laid against the same player.

As a result, the offences amounted to 187.5 points, and a one-week suspension.

Each charge was assessed as negligent conduct (one point), low impact (one point) and high contact (two points), resulting in a classification of Level One Offences.
