Richmond kicked five goals to one in the third quarter of the Round 15 loss to Geelong.

Richmond’s impressive consistency over the course of the 2022 season is highlighted through the total number of quarters it won.

The Tigers had the advantage in 56 of 92 quarters they played all-up, with three other terms tied.

Only three teams in the competition had a better record than that for winning quarters – Geelong (63-3-26), Sydney (61-1-30) and Melbourne (58-1-33).

Richmond won 15 first quarters and one tie, 14 second quarters and two ties, 15 third quarters and 12 last quarters.

Further emphasising the Tigers’ consistent level of performance this season was the fact that they were third among the 18 teams for the amount of time in front during games.

They led for 1,940 minutes, 17 seconds, with Geelong second (1,998 minutes, two seconds) and Melbourne first (2,093 minutes, 14 seconds).
