Richmond will make a change to its AFLW list for the upcoming season, with forward Stephanie Williams to be placed as inactive.

The 21-year-old joined Richmond from Geelong ahead of Season 7 and featured in the opening five matches before a knee injury ended her debut season with the Club prematurely.

Williams will miss the 2023 campaign due to personal reasons.

Richmond Head of Women’s Football, Kate Sheahan, said the Club would fully support Williams through this period.

“Steph will be stepping away from our football program and the demands that come with an elite sporting environment,” she said.

“We love what Steph has brought to our organisation and will give her the time she needs.”

Richmond can add a replacement player to its list before the upcoming AFLW season to ensure its playing list remains at 30.
