Star Richmond spearhead Jack Riewoldt has expressed his excitement at the prospect of playing alongside talented Tiger tall prospect Liam McBean in the team’s forward line next season.

Riewoldt, who received his fourth consecutive Michael Roach Medal, as Richmond’s leading goalkicker, at Monday night’s sell-out Jack Dyer Medal function, believes the 202cm McBean can have a real impact in 2014 after impressing at VFL level throughout this year.

“I’m really excited next year for the introduction of Liam McBean,” Riewoldt said.

“If he hadn’t injured himself (ankle), he probably would have played in the back end of 2013, so really excited for that young kid to come in.

“He’s a guy that I think has got huge prospects for our football club.”

McBean, who was Richmond’s second pick (No. 33 overall) in the 2012 AFL National Draft, kicked 37 goals from 14 games for Coburg in the 2013 season.
