An inception meeting to establish the CA|TS National Committee was held in November 2023, organised by PERHILITAN and WWF-Malaysia. 

The committee was officially established following an inaugural meeting held on 17 July 2024 and PERHILITAN has been appointed by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability to lead the committee. The CA|TS committee consists of representatives from several federal agencies, eight state representatives, Global Tiger Forum and WWF-Malaysia, serving as the Technical Support Group.
