Tim Taranto and Sam Banks have pulled off near-perfect Round 9 performances, with the pair both earning the most votes from both senior coaches in the two-point win over West Coast.

The pair racked up nine votes each in the AFL Coaches Association’s Champion Player Award, in the victory on Sunday at the MCG.

Banks was dominant with a game-high 28 disposals, six marks and two clearances.

Meanwhile, Taranto had 27 touches, kicked a goal and collected a whopping seven clearances.

Away from the top vote-getters, Tom Lynch and Seth Campbell both notched up two votes each.

Lynch kicked two goals in Richmond's third win of the season, while Campbell also had two majors.

Veteran defender Nick Vlastuin also earned one vote, after collecting 18 disposals.

Each week of the season, the two senior coaches vote on the best players in their respective match, giving 5-4-3-2-1. The maximum votes a player can get is 10 votes a week.

The overall league winner will be crowned the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year.
