Talented teenage forward Jasper Alger became Richmond’s eighth AFL debutant this season, when he took the field against the Western Bulldogs in the Round 15 match at Marvel Stadium last Sunday.
Alger also was the 20th player the Tigers have debuted at the game’s highest level since the start of the 2023 season. And that number could well increase by another couple by season’s end.
The full list of Richmond AFL debutants in the past two and a half years (in surname alphabetical order) is:
2023: Sam Banks, Tom Brown, Jacob Bauer, Matthew Coulthard (no longer on the Club’s playing list), James Trezise, Tylar Young.
2024: Jacob Blight, Seth Campbell, Steely Green, Mykelti Lefau, Kane McAuliffe, Kaleb Smith.
2025: Jasper Alger, Harry Armstrong, Jonty Faull, Liam Fawcett, Campbell Gray, Sam Lalor, Tom Sims, Luke Trainor.
