Richmond has made five changes ahead of its clash against Essendon at the MCG on Saturday night.
Excitingly, as announced on Thursday afternoon, midfielder/forward Taj Hotton will debut after his promising VFL stint.
Hotton was a prominent part of Richmond VFL's come-from-behind victory over Geelong last weekend, notching up 24 disposals and kicking a goal.
He joins the team after being selected with pick 12 in last year's draft, and overcoming the ACL injury sustained in his draft season.

Jayden Short rejoins the senior side after an impressive return from injury via the VFL in last weekend's triumph over Geelong. He notched up 29 disposals and took 14 marks in the win.
Key defender Tylar Young also earns his first senior appearance this season, after six strong VFL matches since returning from his ACL injury, including a game-saving mark against Geelong last week.
James Trezise has earned his spot in the senior side back, joined by Jacob Koschitzke as the fifth change.
They will replace Noah Balta (personal), Sam Lalor (injured), Jasper Alger (injured), Hugo Ralphsmith (injured) and Jacob Blight (omitted) in the side.
The backline will now include Short, who will join Nick Vlastuin in his 250th game, Ben Miller, Nathan Broad, Sam Banks and Tom Brown.
Luke Trainor, Dion Prestia and Kamdyn McIntosh make up the centreline. Skipper Toby Nankervis takes his spot in the ruck, alongside followers Tim Taranto and Jacob Hopper.
Jack Ross, Seth Campbell, Maurice Rioli, Rhyan Mansell, Tom Sims and Jonty Faull complete the forward line.
The interchange is made up of Trezise, Koschitzke, Hotton, Young, and Tyler Sonsie. One will be named as substitute an hour before the first bounce on Saturday night.
Blight, Steely Green and Kaleb Smith complete the side as emergencies.
The Tigers will be celebrating three-time premiership player Vlastuin's 250th game on Saturday night.
