Richmond's newest Tiger cubs have been handed their guernsey numbers for the 2026 season, with five allocations for the eager group.

Headlining the group is pick seven, Sam Cumming, who will wear the number 22 next season. He inherits the jumper from 2024 draftee Sam Lalor, who moved to number 4. The 22 has also recently been worn by two-time Richmond premiership player, Josh Caddy, and Jacob Hopper.

Cumming joins Richmond after a strong junior career in Adelaide, and has already made an impact in South Australian football circles, winning the SANFL U/18 MVP award as a bottom-aged player last year.

He averaged 17 disposals and a goal as part of South Australia’s National Championships winning team in 2025 and earned All-Australian selection.

In their first day at the Swinburne Centre, we go behind the scenes with our 2025 draft class.

Sam Grlj, who Richmond selected with pick eight, will wear the 24, handed over by last year's draftee, Taj Hotton.

Grlj has already had a small taste of Tigerland, taking part in the VFL program's Round 19 and 20 hitouts.

The speedster averaged 20.3 disposals, five tackles and 3.9 clearances at Coates Talent League level this year and 17 touches for Victoria Metro.

Zane Peucker has been handed the 26 jumper, after he was selected by Richmond with pick 31. He receives it from 2024 draftee, Jonty Faull.

The damaging half forward hails from South Australia and was picked up from Woodville West-Torrens.

He was a dominant force for the Eagles U/18s this year, averaging 25 disposals, 1.5 goals, and 5.5 score involvements per game.

Noah Roberts-Thomson will don the 27 next season, after being snatched up by Richmond with pick 54.

The pacy midfielder/forward from Sturt will join his South Australian teammates Cumming and Peucker at the Club in 2026.

Rounding out the newest digits is Patrick Retschko, who will take the 33 jumper in 2025.

Retschko, who was traded in from Geelong, will wear the 33, last donned by two-time premiership player, Kamdyn McIntosh.

McIntosh played 213 games in the yellow and black, contributing to the 2017 and 2020 Grand Final triumphs, and was a fan favourite.
