Richmond coach Adem Yze has provided an update on Tom Lynch and Toby Nankervis, who both suffered injuries in Saturday's game against Gold Coast.
Lynch left the match in the second term and captain Nankervis in the third, leaving the inexperienced Tigers without two of their leaders, as they fall to the Suns by 68-points.
Post-game, Yze was hopeful both injuries were on the minor scale.
“Lynchy was an unfortunate one. He was in really good form and a real focal point for us,” Yze said.
“I think he’s hurt his left hammy before. Talking to him at half-time, he’s never done his right, so hopefully that’s only a small one.
"Nank, yeah, same sort of thing, just striding.
"They felt both of them were just a small tweak but, touch wood, until you get a scan, you can never predict (hamstrings). So hopefully it is a short-term thing, not a long-term thing, for both of them."
Yze was pleased with the fight of his young group who matched it with the premiership contenders at times throughout the game.
"That was obviously the positive (to come) out of the game against a really strong team that's in really good form, to be neck and neck with them halfway through the second," Yze said.
"Our game looked really strong; clearance, contest. Territory was a bit of a red flag for us in the first quarter but we felt like we started to arrest that in that second. But then obviously when Lynchy went down, it does throw your structure out a fair bit."
